Hi!, we are Dan & Elaine Miller, owners of Wabasha Motel & RV. We purchased the
motel in January of 2003. Elaine operates the motel/RV and Dan runs his business,
Dan Miller Construction, Inc. We both grew up in the Wabasha area and feel
fortunate that we have been able to raise our family and live and work here. This
is home - we love the area and the people!
We are happy to be your guides, both on the river (see Big River Adventures) and
around the city of Wabasha!
This is our family. We have three children. Ted is our oldest and lives in Fresno,CA. Andrea and her husband, Brad Arens, live in Rochester, MN, and our youngest, Nick (and his girlfriend Nina), lives in Chicago, IL.
This is our golden retriever, Jake. If he could, he would spend every moment with Dan. Unfortunately he can’t, so he spends his time with Elaine at the motel! Jake’s favorite things are duck hunting with Dan and spending time on the river with his friend Barney.
Dan has been a builder here in Wabasha since 1982. These are some of the homes he has built. Dan also built the cabin, and does all the repair/remodeling work here at the motel.
Big River Adventures is a backwater boat tour business that Dan started several
years ago. He started it because he wanted to share the beauty of the Mississippi
River backwaters with visitors to the area. For more information about Big River
Adventures, visit the website: www.bigriveradventures.com He looks forward to
sharing this unique experience with you!
To book a tour call Elaine at the motel: 651-565-9932 or call her cell: 507-951-5286.
These are just a few of the pictures I have taken when out on a tour! Go to our

Wabasha Motel & RV is a small Mom & Pop motel. Since we bought it, each year we
have improved the property is some way - from new forms of advertising and adding
wireless internet to new furniture and more outlets in the motel and a new
shower/bathroom and laundry for our RVers - it's a long list! We have made these
improvements because this is what we heard was needed or wanted - we feel that we
have listened to our guests, and we hope that they appreciate our efforts. It is
our desire to continue to provide value to our guests at the best possible price.
